12oz bottle poured into a large Fischer tulip glass. Dark brown color, too dark to see through but no sediment. Small head fades quickly. Aroma is well lagered with earthy clean malts and some dry cocoa. Flavor has a slightly spritzy element getting in the way a bit, which leads to a bit of a mineral flavor within sweet yet clean well lagered dry maltiness. So, its pretty much right to style without anything special. Its very drinkable, well made... good stuff. It wont blow you away but its a solid, well made American doppelbock, can’t say that too often.

Pour is a dark brown with a large tan head. Aroma is roasted malts with some sugary sweetness. Flavor is a strong roasted malt and a hint of chcolate. The only thing that was missing was some dark fruit aspect that i love in most dopples. Still this was decent just not spot on the style.

12 oz. bottle purchased at the brewery. Pour is cola brown with some nice settling and a one inch off white head. Aroma of sweetness and nuts. Taste is a really nice caramel sweet nuttiness Light bodied, and crazy drinkable. Faint smokiness in the taste as well. Nice beer.
