Deep brown, near black colour with a huge foamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel toffee, dark chocolate, nuts, pine, hops. Flavour is much the same, roasty and with a bitter-dry finish. I quite enjoyed this Black IPA.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Citrus, caramel and vanillevla in the aroma. Soft and mellowed earthy grapefruity hopbitter flavor. Hints of caramel. Well hopped, easy drinker. Lacks a bit of bite and aggression. Longish earthy citric aftertaste. Well balanced black IPA for someone who wants to get acquainted with the style.

Bottle from the Bier Koning, Amsterdam. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy white head and a little lace. The aroma is roasted malt, grassy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a grass, nettle hop bitter light pepper spice light aniseed palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Opaque dark brown beer, ginourmous fluffy pale tan head. Bottle continued a slow gush. Palate is airy, semi dry and crisp. Thin dark malts, some roast. Touch of sweet floralness before pine hop kicks in. Light dry finish. Mellow roasty linger. Not bad.

Difficult to pour with major overcarbonation. Has a very grassy aroma. It’s got a grassy taste too. Some dark bitter roast malt too.

Thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Gusher! Rest of the bottle in the glass deep black, huge head. Starts dry-malty, dusty, smokey, burnt-malty notes. More and more moldy and unbalanced. Not good.

0,33 l bottle, bought directly at the brewery. Pours very dark red brown in the glass, a very huge tanned head, gushing. From the distance melon on the nose, directly over the glass toffee and dark chocolate. Starts with darker chocaolate, combined with licorice. Medium floral. A little bit flat in the aftertaste, herb and hints of plastic, rough. Interesting but not my favourite of this brewery.
