Clear yellow with a big but rapidly disappearing white head. Aroma of Lemon Pledge. Full bodied, faint grapefruit taste with a solidly bitter edge and finish.

Sampled at Zythos 2009. Hazy gold, lasting beige head. Quite a smooth tripel, not overly estery, some rose petal, some hop. Very smooth. Not great character but smooth, easy drinking and still some sting on the finish.

Bottle: Poured a hazy dirty beige color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of Belgian malt with a spicy yeast. Taste is comprised of a spicy yeast with maybe some pepper and light coriander as well as a nice malt backbone and a slightly dry hoppy finish. Body is quite full with some great carbonation. I thought this was slightly too dry and some light traces of alcohol were slightly disappointing.

(Bottle 33 cl) Slightly hazy, deep golden with a white head. Fresh and very fruity nose with lots of banana and yeast. Full-bodied. lots of sweet malt and fruit, and a whiff of yeast and diacetyl before a dry finish. Quite lovely actually. 080707

Bottle. Unclear medium yellow orange color with a large frothy good lacing mostly lasting white head. Aroma is moderate yeasty, toffee. Initial flavor is moderate sweet, light light acidic and light bitter, finish flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Golden color; nice thin perlage; thick head, big. The classic aroma for a Tripel, the taste is in the beginning not so special, but revealing later some malt (still dry mouthfeel) and a good hopping. In the final, the bitterness is long, bearing some Belgian hop aromas as well.

Bottled (on Nov 30th, 2005) Clear, orange body. Off-white head. Aroma of hops, oranges, soap. Moderately bitter initial flavour. Lightly sweet, moderately bitter finish. Quite alcoholic flavour. Fully bodied. Due to the alcoholic flavour, I don’t like this.
