Brewed only once each year to coincide with the Hop Harvest in Yakima Washington, High Tide IPA is made with 180 lbs of Fresh Hops per batch that are plucked from the vines and sent straight to our brewery. We skip the whole drying and processing stage which means the hops are ultra fresh and full of flavors we can’t normally get. Like grapes, Hops are only harvested one time each year and as such, we make what we can when we get them.

Bottle: Golden, almost clear, bigger fluffy white head, moderate to solid citrussy-zesty nose with "sweaty" traces and a malty counterpart; solid bitter-tart flavour, medium bodied, relatively soft; grapefruity-tart finish with a shy malty counterpart. The right stuff......

Bottle. Pours an unclear medium amber, with a thick creamy head. Lots of good aroma, with a floral hoppiness, and notes of honey and pine. Flavour is very hoppy, with an attacking bitterness of grapefruit and orange peel that sticks for a long time.

Clear orange at first, but hazy colored when poured completely, nice white head. Very hoppy taste, long lingering bitterness and a little wood. Good beer, but something is missing. Nice carbo, little bit thin body.

Bottle @Kaisla, Helsinki. Poured golden color with a frothy white head. Fruity, peachy aroma. Flavor is hops, fruit and grass. Bit sweet. Bitter finish. Not as bitter and hoppy as I had expected, but quite enjoyable. Aroma was fresh, but the flavor was not as fresh.

Hazy gold beer. thin white head. Bitter grapefruit hop dominates but there is some sweet orange and peacgh. Little aniseed spice in the semi dry finish.

Tap @ Falling Rock, Denver. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of freesh fruity hops, grapefruit, melon, orangepeel. Taste is Grape, orangepeel, kiwi, caramel, pepper and spices. Medium body, lively soft carbonation. Good refreshing IPA. 090411

Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is some piney resin. Flavor is again some bitter pine hops and not much in the way of malt. Pretty hop forward IPA with little body.

Bottle from Barley Wine, Copenhagen. Shared with Mes&Sim. Dig the label - surf that green hop wave dude ! Hazy amber pour with a wee white head. Really good nose, fruit aplenty and piney resinous hops to burn. The hop punch in the flavour wasn’t the knock out blow anticipated, but something altogether more subtle. Mouthfeel was on the light and sparkling side. A little sweet malt lurking in the shadows, but the fresh juicy simcoes have a great stage to shine from. Really tasty stuff. Dry and pleasantly lingering bitter finish. Supremely easy drinking with a cracking balance. Just love the output from Port.

0.65l bottle shared with ClubGonzo. Pours a nice yellow orange body with a finger sized, thick white and lasting head leaving big, nice lacings. Nose is really fruity, pine, some citrus, grapefruit and a almost stingy peppery aroma. Quite light bodied with decent amount of carbonation. Tastes are a bit watery, with pines, a good amount of hops giving - and leaving a medium a medium quite lasting bitter finish. Nice, light drinkable and a properly made IPA that dont stick its head out to much in the crowd.
