Brewed only once each year to coincide with the Hop Harvest in Yakima Washington, High Tide IPA is made with 180 lbs of Fresh Hops per batch that are plucked from the vines and sent straight to our brewery. We skip the whole drying and processing stage which means the hops are ultra fresh and full of flavors we can’t normally get. Like grapes, Hops are only harvested one time each year and as such, we make what we can when we get them.

bottle from Bierkompass. Hazy golden colour, large white head. Lovely aroma of fresh, green, lemony hops. Full-bodied with a solid malty base to balance the impressive hoppiness. Lots of green, resiny and citrusy gop flavours. Everey sip is an adventure - a delicious experience.

Big bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo. Huge, pillow white head leaving decent lacing behind as it goes down. Straw- golden coloured body, near-clear. Fresh fruity-floral smell including notes of oranges and lemon. Fresh hoppy taste, indeed, with peaches, lemon and oranges added by hints of spicy malts. Dry and smooth bittersweet aftertaste. Pleasing IPA, without exceptional qualities (Hotel room, 08.02.2011).

Big offwhite head. Hazy yellow body with strong carbonation. Soft citric resiny mango aroma with strawy pineapple notes. Dry-sweetish citric resiny grassy taste with strawy fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Sharp bitterness dominates the mouthfeel. Dry-bitter dandelion, fisherman’s friend and generic fruit aftertaste with herbal resiny notes. Nice, but too bitter. Bitterness settles in the mouth. (0.65l bottle, wine monopoly Vika, Oslo.)

1 pt. 6 fl. oz. bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Hazy golden colour, fairly pale for an American IPA. Big to moderate white head. Lovely aroma of floral and fruity hops (Centennial and Simcoe or Chinook) , notes of peaches and tropical fruits. The flavour is resinous and grapefruity, initially relatively smooth and inviting, but with an aggressive and nearly medicinal bitterness in the aftertaste. Relatively light bodied and dry.

22 oz. bottle, pours golden with a white head. Aroma of big citrus, grassy hops and an herbal quality. Flavour of pungent grassy / citrusy hops and a little pot. Very bitter. A little one-dimensional, but wonderful.

Mmm, hops. Grapefruit, light grass, some light malt sweet notes, and some fresh fruit. FInish has a nice bitter bite with a light pine finish. Real nice brew.

On tap at Brickskeller DC. Pours a clear, deep gold with a thin lacing white head. Nose of tropical fruits, earthy, citrus, lightly sweet, peaches. Flavor is sweet, bitter lemons, honey, grapefruit, lime zest, pine. Full bodied, bitter finish. Good, but lacked some punch.

bottle thanks to Stefan! Pours hazy orange with a tall pillow of a white head leaving nice lacing around the glass. Aroma is resinous pine and citrus rind with soft floral notes as well. Flavor is a total hop assault. Grassy upfront with big fresh hop bitterness, earthy and pine but lingering citrus in the finish. Very good IPA!
