330 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 10.1%. Pitch black colour, moderate tan head. Nice roasty aroma, notes of fortified wine, oak, leather, liquorice, hints of chocolate and espresso coffee. Smooth flavour, moderate roast, fortified wine, chocolate, hints of vanilla and oak, moderate hops. Very easy drinking for its strength. Lovely beer.

F: huge, brownish, creamy, good retention. C: dark as a night and non-transparent at all. A: roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, cherries, plums, alcohol, iron, chalk, hint of earthiness and some vanilla, smoked tones. T: oily mouthfeel, roasted malt, interesting like mint tones, dark fruit, dark cherries, anise, chalk, molasses, plums, good sipper imperial stout, full-bodied, lower carbonated, nice bitter lingering liquorice finish on the edges of tongue and the soft palate, worth to try, 0,33l bottle from beer festival in February in Brugge.

Receding cream head over reddish-shot black beer. Roasted, nutty, faintly sweetish, rainwater. Sweet-roasted, bit fiery flavour, roasted (if mildly) meat, bit hard green leaves, dark bread. Fiery, alcoholwarming, well-bodied, quite slick/viscous. Far from bad, better than the usual WP or Gaverhopke fare.
