Malgrè son goût reconnaissable de café, ce n’est pas une stout. Sa rondeur et sa douceur l’apparentent plus à une bière de type belge. Malt torréfié.

Courtesy & thx! to Benzai. Sampled 50 cl. bottle @ the some people are tired tasting. Hotel post day #1 @ Borefts 2013. BBF 15/01/2014. A traditional BE abbey dubbel made according to the German purity law according to the bottle. Is that me or does that make no sense whatsoever? I thought that at first that this was some kind of weird bok. Reddish brown with a tanned head. Very sweet nose, leaves, sweet, thick brown sugar, caramel,… Taste is sweet caramel, malt, sticky brown sugar, leaves, herbs, caramel, touch sweet red grapes. Very sticky, fine carb. Not bad. Simple & sweet.

Sampled from bottle @ the some people are tired tasting (after borefts 2013 day 1). Clear dark red color, medium sized off - white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, leaves, some iron, sweetness and something weird I don’t really like. Average body and carbonation.
