A sneakily complex beer, "TWSS" exhibits flavors of milk chocolate, fresh roasted coffee, caramel, and even a hint of smoke. It is absolutely loaded with flavor for a 5.6% beer, and the inclusion of Lactose takes the edge off of the dry, roasty notes found in a typical stout. The adult chocolate milk shake. . . soft, creamy, and luscious while maintaining supreme drinkability - just the way we like it! A beer that is notorious for converting ‘pale’ beer lovers to the dark side!

Can pour into nonic pint glass from the brewery. Appearance is opaque inky black with trace sparkle at the edges of the glass and finger-width reddish light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is rich roasted coffee burnt malts chocolate and lactose. Taste is strong roasted coffee and malts along with lactose. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth thick texture average carbonation and finish as taste with lingering bittersweet roast. Overall strong all around.

474ml (thx, Danielle P.!) at Sales Force. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: roasted malt, some smoke and sweetness. Taste: along the same lines, quite thick for a straight stout. Overall: very good.

Can. Nearly black. Nicely viscous. Fine tan head is lasting and lacing. Nose has dried vine fruit. Milky coffee. Coffee grinds. Dark chocolate. A tiny bit metallic. Taste is nicely balanced, milky sweet, and vine fruit bitterness. Medium body. Fine carbonation. Fairly drying. Light coffee sweetness to finish. Not too complex, but it’s tasty, well brewed gear.
