A cute little swingtop bottle like on the pic that I got in the Vrutak store in Zagreb, shared with heavy. They have the commercial description and the ingredients list in Latin too. Cute. Anyway, poured a murky dull golden body with a big thick white head that dissipated slowly. Acidic and sweet honeyish nose. Eh. The taste is sweet honey mixing with a distinct but hardly complex or tasty sweaty bitterness. 5 hop sorts but all the wrong ones? Dunno. Some orange did pop up, but not sure if it had anything to do with the hops used. The alcohol is evident and possibly all too evident. Messy all in all and I expected more.

Dull gold, creamy white head. Biscuity malt, spice, stone fruit and mild orange aroma. Quite prominent alcohol. Taste is only mildly sweet with some light grass and spice hops. Bitter and slightly astringent finish. Not terribly involving.

Swingtop bottle. Opens with a large bang, but no gushing. Pours a hazy golden color with a huge rocky head. Soft hoppy aroma, slight fruity, slight spicy, marmelade, apricot, tangerine. Bit sharpish taste, slight alcohol, bit bitter, quite spicy, soft candy from the yeast. Belgian triple-like with more hops than the average belgian beer.

Draught at "A La Morte Subite", Brussels on 16th January 2010. Gold with yellow-white foam head. Hoppy with a few savoury notes including touches of fennel, corriander and just a hint of allspice. Superb zingy mouthfeel and a very dry finish of grassy herby hop. Excellent.

Rabbit Club, Manhattan, swing-top ($9): Pours a nice white head that lasts for quite some time over a hazy peach body. Aroma thick with fruity notes and hops. Taste is a little sweet, but with a dry sort of finish. Definite hop presence, which is stronger than in most Belgian beers. A good few notes of grapes and champagne. Light-bodied and really refreshing and smooth. Leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste.

330ml bottle. Hazy, creamy tan yellow-tan color, big foamy head. Sweet Belgian yeast, candi sugar, bubblegum aroma, not unlike a Tripel or strong Golden Ale. There is some mild bitterness, but this is hardly a Belgian IPA. Either way, the extra hops help to balance out the whole thing, creating a rather likable, complex beer. Some toasty malt shows itself as the beer breathes and mellows. A great beer.

330ml bottle from Country Club Liquors. Nose of floral hops, cloves, corriander, yeast, and light sweet honey notes. Hazy yellow with a big pale yellow head. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, with lots of yeasty breadiness and spices. Decent stuff!

Cool little 330ml swingtop bottle from City Beer in SF
Appearance: Slightly hazy yellow/amber with a huge overflowing creamy white head and lots of lacing in the glass
Aroma: Belgium yeast, citrus and some off flavors
Taste: Thin mouthfeel. Slightly sour malts and yeast. Not a very good beer. Drinkable, but no hops that I could smell or taste. It had some strange flavors going on, I think it was slightly infected.

Pours gold into a snifter. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing to island surface. Orange peel and yeast aromas. Sweet yeast upfront turning to a tangy orange middle and onto a lasting bitter pith finish.
