Sampled at marinaro500’s post-Thanksgiving gathering, provided by wohlfs. Slightly hazy orange-brown body, thin off-white/cream head. Unusual banana/clove yeast nose with breads and caramel. Toasty, sweet, caramely body with brown sugar and plenty of yeast esters, including banana and clove. Kind of a buttered toast finish. Rich and sweet with little alcohol presence.

Dark amber color. Very good beer, sweet, with loads of caramel and quite strong liquorice; when warmer gets more complexity: Christmas spices, milk chocolate, chocolate cake…

A red-brown beer with a small fast disappearing head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and prunes. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of the alcohol and roasted malt before an OK bitterness sets in which finally gives way to a dry woody finish. A good beer, but not as good as the christmas version.
