Pours a deep orange with a pillowy off white head. Aroma is very pleasent. Citrus, pine, and floral hop notes. Mouth is a little thin and watery. Flavor is mild for an IPA. Grapefruit and some lemon hops as well as a nice malt background. Finishes with a real mellow bitterness. This could be a very good IPA if the flavor was pumped up a couple notches, but as it stands it’s middle of the road.

Draught at Richmond Arms, Houston
Beautiful amber color. Delicate hoppy aroma. Good flavor, not extreme, malt with fruity hops. Refreshing. Playing darts, in Houston, on Christmas night… strange experience.

Bottle at just the right temperature. Poured clear gold with a white head. Aroma of hops and slight malt. Full in the mouth with a hoppy bite. Finish like the final note of ’A Day in the Life’. Wonderful. This is low enough in alcohol you could drink a crate in an evening and be able to dance.

Hazy gold body, small-bubbled, white head. Sweet fruit, floral aroma. Some peach, some grapefruit, but mostly floral scent. The flavor is full of hops, slightly sweet, but mostly bitterand somewhat tart in the end. Velvet mouthfeel. Dry, medium-long finish. Solid IPA, better than average.

Bottle. Hazy sunset orange pour. Aroma of hops is big, though tasted is a bit more muted than I would have expected. Good solid IPA.

On tap at Bridgeport, Portland. You can’t always choose milestone beers, but I am pleased that this is 2500. I love the beers from the PNW so a solid exponent of the IPAs from that part of the world is perfect. Hazy gold with a lasting off white head. Enjoyable hop aroma. Grapefruit aroma, slightly sticky hop, some sherbert. Good malt hop balance. Still a huge hop finish, but more manageable than some. Really rather drinkable.

12oz Bottle pours out a hazy yellow topped with a white head. A very nice hop aroma. Also a good hop tast.

Bottle from santa - bright orange pour with attractive lace - bready aroma, with an earthy, floral character - crisp and spicy, with a relatively low hop profile, yeasty quality and tang that one usually finds in the more traditional, British examples - nothing to rave about, but pretty solid.

Bottle (7-22-2006) Sour peach/orange rind and hops aroma. Cloudy orange yellow color with moderate head. Peach malt flavor initially followed by pine/citrus with moderate hops finish - well balanced but just a bit light. Very good. / Re-rate 3-25-19 - Glad I got to re-visit this since they just stopped brewing - guess this was one of my earliest IPA rates. Orange, biscuit malt, and orange peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Moderately sweet orange, peach, biscuit malt, and moderately bitter orange peel and pine flavor. Okay body. Not going to change the rating - maybe might lose a point or two but still nice. Not as hop forward as the modern IPAs but I like it. Farewell, BridgePort.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a big foamy head. Aroma is a nice pine and grassy hops. Flavor is a light spritzy citrus with a nice dose of fresh hops. Could use a bit more malts but very tasty and clean. Good beer to start on my b-day.
