When the time came to brew with Transient Artisan Ales, we wanted to try our hand at this crisp, clean take on an IPA.

The evolution of IPA never ends. This newest iteration of a classic style features a bone-dry finish which really helps to showcase the Amarillo and Idaho 7 hops. Spritzy with an aroma of pineapples and oranges.

Pour is a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma is a pretty decent green herbal hop that is sometimes missing in versions of this style. Flavor is typical dryness with more herbal hop hitting the back of the tongue. Some brut IPA's I've had are just dry almost flavorless messes. This one actually has quite a bit of hops showing up.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from the brewery. Appearance is mildly hazy pale, greenish-yellow with nice sparkle, finger-width fizzy, white head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is subtle wine yeast, herb, whiff of almost vinegary tartness. Taste is sparkling wine yeasty sweetness, mild fruit. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, average-to-lively carbonation and dry, crisp mix of sweet, yeast and lightly bitter finish. Overall, I like the increased yeast dimension, but it dwarfs the hops so the flavors are fairly subtle.

16oz can gifted by vyvvy. Hmmm I don't get it. It's not a particularly interesting hop aspect. It's a slick malt character. Doesn't even seem particularly dry.
