Fermented with 100% Virginia Honey and Blackberries from our friends at Agri-Berry. Bramble Bee celebrates the flavors of one of the most popular berries in the world. Forensic evidence indicates consumption of Blackberries in Europe as far back as 2500 years ago, so it is certainly possible a similar mead was produced then.

Enjoy this sip of summer as we move into shorter days and cooler nights.

Skinny 375ml bottle pours a leggy sepia with no head. Nose of honey and berry and spice. Flavor is sweet, honey, jam, berry. Finishes off dry.

Bottle at the January DC Ratebeer tasting. Poured a clear, dark ruby red color with a wispy head, almost still. Aroma was apple, lots of dry sweetness, honey, light apple. Light blackberry comes through this one. Pretty smooth for the abv.

Bottle at tasting. Aromanis medicinal mead. Maybe tart berries but lots of medicine mead. Flavor is similarly not sweet but medicinal. Pretty color though.

Honey and almost a hint of roast. Amver pour. Good mead, with decent sweetness. Syrup textrue like tan oil. Bottle.

From a bottle at the DC RB gathering January 7, 2017. Pours a cloudy amber with a thin head. Aroma is honey. Flavor is sweet honey. Smooth finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear ruby with small white head that lasts. The aroma is spice and honey. Nice sweentess light booze. Very nice.

Sample/flight pour at Black Heath. Clear reddish color. Aromas of berries, honey, apples. Tastes of honey, berries, apples. Light body with a dry finish.

Bottled sample at the meadery, 8/5/16. Clear dark purple, moderate legs. Aroma of blackberry, honey, earth, mild lemon. The taste is berries, lemon, honey, mild earth. Medium bodied, mild booze. 150th mead rating!
