The first beer in our “8 is the New 5” series, “V” got its’ name from five different hops that we used in this brew. The combination of hops used produces a balance of dankness and bittering notes. A hop lovers delight. This carefully constructed IPA provides a little more complexity to the foundation of the “juice bomb” style that folks have come to expect from a New England IPA. “V” features tropical citrus, grapefruit, lime, melon notes that come together perfectly in a beautiful, orange-hued masterpiece. And, since we are a proud Worcester County company, we’ve even selected some Cascade hops grown right here in Central Mass. The perfect latitude and climate for this traditional IPA hop.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: dark orange/copper color with a finger and a half of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: citrusy, lemon, lime & melon hoppiness; light clean malts
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bittersweet quality; finishes citrusy with some melon-like tones
Texture: medium bodied, good as a sipper; some smoothness, light dryness along the tongue
Overall: nice enough NEDIPA I would be willing to come back to.

Can, from the brewery. Pours hazy dark yellow-orange with a small foamy light beige head, citrus-pineapple-mandarin orange aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter citrus peel-pineapple-mandarin taste, alcohol undertones, thin body, long bitter finish. Turns more bitter as you go.

Fresh tallboy purchased in Boston. Orange-gold color, light haze to it. Lots going on in this beer. Sweaty oily hops of old style. Sweet hops. Low bitterness. Sweet but no caramel. There is some weird hop flavor in there as well.
