This fan favorite has been requested many times over since it last appeared in 2016. It returns in 2020 in a throwback can to commemorate our 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! This limited variant of our Mosaic hop-forward flagship IPA features generous additions of passionfruit puree. The resulting beer will provide you with a big juicy mouthfeel accompanied by tropical fruit and a firm hop bitterness in the finish.

Deep, fairly hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a thinnish off-white head that stays afloat for a while and still leaves a subtle lace on the sides after the beer has gone. Aroma of rich passionfruit notes with some guava and subdued wheat and malt elements with a faint dose of light hops, on the mild side, but still seemingly american hops. Light to Medium-bodied; Very pungent passionfruit notes dominate with a fresh fruit bite (not artificial) and a good rich hoppiness that has some bitterness, but coupled well with a light but noticeable maltiness that shows through everything and balances out nicely, especially with the passionfruit. Aftertaste is mild with the passionfruit by far the strongest, but the malts are nice here as well as the subtle hops. Overall, a nice fruity IPA that doesn't go overboard in terms of the fruits nor the hops - they are both balanced nicely with the malt as the backbone that does well. As passionfruit is my favourite fruit, this one was very nice and welcome for thoe shwho like tropical fruits! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Ye Old Spirits Shop in Frederick, Maryland on 29-November-2020 for US$5,39 sampled at my house here in Washington on 19-June-2021 for a Father's Day celebration with my family.

32oz growler from State Line Liquors. Drinking slowly out of a glass mug. Thick, can’t see through it, pour. Aroma is strong on tropical fruit, of the passion variety I guess. Tropical fruit smoothie aroma. Flavor has a moderate bitterness cutting though it and less tropical. The regular IPA does nothing for me but I guess all this passion fruit really makes a difference.

This was poured into a Becher pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt to bronzed semi-brown/orange color-ed body with a thin sustaining white foamy head. Concaves to the center after a good bit. Clingy white foamy lacing.
The smell, damn, for the age, one would think - yeah dead, beeeeep, wrong answer, hell no! For the age, bit sweet passionfruit and berries burst up front over a light sweet grassy edge. Light pears, some floral, and then some citrus.
The taste was pretty much the same - fully bittersweet - combined and all together. Quick dry berry to citrus aftertaste. Definitely a quick finish, (boy does that go out the window quickly or what, wooee).
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a semi-oily yet dry feel making a nice bitter pounding on my tongue.
Overall, damn nice AIPA that I know I would have again. And given the age, I can only imagine what it’s like fresh!

4 oz pour on draft at Pizzeria Paradiso Dupont for the Manor Hill tap takeover. Hazy golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of orange citrus, floral, subtle passion fruit. Tastes of passion fruit, orange citrus, floral. Medium body with a dry finish. Could use more passion fruit but still a tasty variant on their IPA.
