Bottle from Beerdome. Hazy red brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and dried fruit. Flavor is very sweet. Sweet finish with a little warming alcohol. Pretty basic barley wine. 080421

Ty monster magnet. Aroma and flavor are sweet, malt, caramel, fruits, some booze, raisins. Finish is sweet and malty. Overall: good.

Heel lekker zoet, met een soort aardbeiensmaak. Geen vervelende bijsmaakjes. Ik ben bang dat de rode wijn versie niet beter gaat zijn dan dit.

2011 Bottle. Dark amber color, hardly any head. Malt and butterscotch in the aroma. Dried fruit. Malty sweet flavor with grassy hops, dried fruit and caramel. Full bodied, low on carbon. Warming alcohol, almost boozy. Well balanced, well brewed and well matured barley wine. 2015 bottle. Dark brwon color. Malty aroma with hints of sulphur. malty sweet flavor with dried fruit, toffee. Low on carbon. Gets better as the beer warms up, still needs developing time.

At a tasting, thanks, almost no head, murky lightish brown color, aroma of nut, wood and caramel, quite sweet nut and caramel flavor with a pleasant balancing dried fruit sourness. Not too complex but nice and enjoyable.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L's place. Thanks tomer. 2015 bottle. Brown. Malt, caramel, oxidation, dark fruits, apple, sweet, cardboard, some alcohol. A bit one-dimensional and too oxidized.
