Sampled from bottle @ RBBWG 2013. Hazy murky yellow-orange color, small white to off-white head. Smell and taste slightly sourish, a bit peachy, yeasty. Typical Fantome. Ok, but not what I like.

Fully hazy orange beer with a thick, cream-coloured head. Bit vinous nose, alcohol, fusels, some spices, and aromatic hops, smelling of exotic fruit and dried apricots - apricotbrandy, even. But unfortunately, a slight waft of coriander there as well. The poison creeps everywhere... Bit of musk, certainly warming up. Celery - celerisalt, even - white whine, rhubarb, dried apricots, (bread)yeast, coriander. White sultanas in the finish. Not exactly the taste(s) I look for in beer, but the complexity is truly staggering. Musk returns retronasal. Well-bodied & slick; hides the 10% utterly, even if after a glass or two, the warming creeps in. Qua complexity, it’s a tour de force . It would have been the same flavourwise, as well as in matters of balance, if Dany had left out the infernal weed. This beer is a delight to discover, but a toil to finish a bottle...

Bottle @ Papsø. Cloudy yellow orange appearance with a white bubby head. Fairly spicy, coriander, well carbonated, orange, floral aroma. Spritzy, clean, herbal, floral hoppy, orange citrusy, lightly tart flavor with a nice dry, hoppy finish. Refreshing and nice to drink for 10% abv.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy opaque golden with a huge and frothy white head. Fresh, citrusy and yeasty aroma with some spices. Medium body, some sweet fruit, rather bitter, metallic and yeasty with a solid bitterness. A very decent Fantôme - no infections. 140712
