Bottle at the CP&K, Scopey’s Birthday Bash.Cloudy amber beer, good white head. Soft airy frothy palate. Mild creamy malt. A little dried fruit and a trace of bubblegum ester. Tiny bit of aniseed. Mild minerals. Dry finish. Okay but not the best from this brewer.

Bottle thanks to the ever generous Ken. It pours cloudy golden yellow, with a thick off-white head. The nose is farmyard, funk, sulphur, orange, mango and apricot. The taste is resin, leather, spice, farmyard, apricot yoghurt, orange, mango, peach, citrus pith, funk and alcohol warmth, with a dry finish. Medium body and prickly, champagne-like carbonation. A solid saison.

Bottle at CPK, big thanks to the K-Man.Pours very cloudy orange with a fine, white foam head. Big and yeasty nose, some caramel, esters, fruits. Medium to big sweet flavor, very yeasty and doughy, some citrus, apricot, banana, light alcohol. Medium bodied with huge carbonation. Mildly warming to finish, lightly dry, very sweet with lots of yeast, banana, melon. Nice enough, but very sweet and not subtle. I like Fantome and I love saisons, but this one is just pretty OK.

Corked bottle, courtesy of Alex (nightfall), vintage 2011
Muddy orange-golden color; big head. Mild spicy aroma, some leather, light lemon, very light plastic. Good body; interesting mix of spicy yeast, fruity sourness and some residual sweetness; some lemon zest in the final, with mild astringency.
Balanced and harmonious.

Bottle as shown thanks to Markus pours a cloudy yellow with a frothy white head. The aroma is a sour fruit and cherry. Thin mouthfeel with a crisp sour fruit and sour finish. Wow really enjoyed this one.
