330 ml bottle. Clear, deep amber with a collapsing off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel and hint of toffee. Flavor is smooth, soft malty with hint of toast and caramel. Almost no bitterness and thin body. To much flavor of soda pop for my taste.

Clear bottle pours mahogany with thin off white head. The aroma first brings me back to dark Mexican beer aromatics with floral, a touch of skunk, firm earthiness, a slight metallic note and dark roasted malts. The taste is pretty nice with a mild level of roasted malts, a pretty thick chocolate presence and hints of sweet dark fruity esters here and there. At the finish noble hops come to the surface producing some spiciness, floral and earthiness. Pretty nice indeed. If I was in Turkey I’d be pretty happy if this was all I could get.

12 oz bottle - clear, great. Brown pour, white head. Aroma is malty, eh. Flavor is malty, touches of chocolate, again, eh. It’s not that it’s a terrible beer, but it’s just, well - plain, and a touch skunky - which I can’t tell if it’s from the clear bottle letting in too much light or by design.

Can: Pours a dark brown body covered by a white head. Caramel and roasted malts aroma... lager smell in there as well. Taste includes some hop bitterness. Some roasted malts are present. Smooth drinking and the body has some weight to it (i.e. not watery). High alcohol content is a plus. Overall, I quite liked this and it seems to be very under-rated on this site.

Appearance was dark maroon in color, very little head, not much lacing. Smell was of simple sugars and caramel. Taste was on the sweet side, not very complex, not well balanced. Little finish. Body was a bit lacking for a dark beer. Not a good effort, just a sweet and syrupy beverage that misses the mark.
