On tap at Beer Temple. Black, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa, milk chocolate, light spice. Flavour is medium sweet, milk chocolate, roasted malts, light chili, cocoa, light bitter chocolate and roast finish, hint of spice. Maybe served a bit too cold, but I found this to be quite muted for a spice beer. Light to medium-bodied.

Tap @ Beer Temple. Black color. Head is dark, brown, uneven, with good lace. Aroma’s: roasted malts, herbal (hard to identify), milk chocolate, hint of sour fruit & licorice/drop. Flavor is medium sweet, roasted, herbal. Medium bodied. Only slightly spicy feel in the throat. Finishes even more roasted, ashy, then dry & bitter

Bottle 330ml.Clear dark brown black colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, cacao, chocolate, spicy, chiili, herbs, dusty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120506]

33cl bottle from ølbutikken. pitch dark, smooth brown head. Very nice hoppy and coffee roasted aroma, mild chili aroma too, slightly herbal the good way. supernice dry imp stoutish aroma. flavor is roasted malts, cocoa, chilies, good burn, cofee powder, faint charchoal flavor that grows towards the end, flavor profile somewhat reminds me of yeti imp. stout, but a little chili in there too. Probably the best beer in the ratebeer spice/herb/vegetable i’ve ever tasted.

bottle at home ... thanks ben ... deep black ... thin tan head ... light cola .. big spice ... little star anise ..chopolte pepper .. biggest on the nose is the spicy pepper ... light spice up front ... foams quite a bit in then ... soft chocolate roast ... very tobacco leaf ... can you avacado leaves? ... soft lightest smoke from the chilli

Bottle. Pours a black color with a longlasting tan head. Has a roadyed malty spicy chocolate aroma with hints of chili. Roasted malty dry spicy bitter chocolate flavor with hints of chili. Has a roasted malty spicy chili chocolate finish with bitter aftertaste.

Bottle at Mikkeller Bar, May 2012. Black with a nice looking, large brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts, chili and dark chocolate. The same in the taste, also spices and more chili. An interesting beer that was balanced in a strange way.

Aroma is rather roasted with vanilla and cocoa. Very smooth palate. Flavour is slightly spicy and rather roasted with coffee, some dark chocolate and cocoa. The chili is hard to observe, just some spices in the flavour and aftertaste. A feeling of an imperial stout with this ABV – wow.

Pours pitch black with a nice smooth brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, beans, spices, chocolate, licorice and some chili. Taste is complex, spicy and roasty with a lot of cocoa, beans and some chili notes. Finish is warming, spicy and roasty. Nice, tasty spiced ale.
