BrewDog's flagship Punk IPA... how it used to be. Re-brewed for BrewDog's 10th anniversary and Equity Punks AGM 2017.

This is the original spiky, hoppy, tropical IPA that carried the company on its shoulders to the heights of today.

Old rating put on the wrong version. Rated 2011-02-21. Bottle 330ml. Clear amber orange colour with a small head. Fruity aroma. Strong hop taste.

From old notes. 330ml bottle. Clear golden orange color with almost white head. Hoppy aroma, Floral, grassy, grapefruit, light malty caramel. Sweet and bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours cloudy lemon yellow with a thin white head. Aromas of skunky hops. Taste is bitter, watery. Thin texture, thin body. bitter finish, thanks again Craig for a beer I didn’t think I’d see again!

Bottle at home. Pours golden orange, grapefruit, pine, citrus, dry and bitter.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein orangegoldenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch intensiv malzig, fruchtig herb. Geschmack sehr mild fruchtig bitter nach exotischen Früchten.

This old version is great, but the new one has Nelson Sauvin hops and is indeed an improvement.

Originally rated on 20.11.2009. 330ml bottle from Alko? Slightly unbalanced IPA with notes of berries. Not as good as the new one.
