The first beer we developed was called Keikoppenbier, referring to the nickname of the inhabitants of Poperinge. We brewed this beer for the first time on November 9, 2011. The very first brew in our own brewery!
In our first beer we wanted you to be able to taste our story so three varieties of hops are used. The combination of these hops gives the beer a distinctive hop aroma and provides a good balance with the used malts.

--Bottled at Teja tasting-- Hazy golden, mid sized head. Spicy grassy nose. Dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Bready with honey, floral hay. Long bitter finish.

Flaska från SB. Gyllenfärgad disig vätska med högt skum. Lite belgojäst med estrar, honung och kryddor. Kanske inte den mest karaktärsfulla belgare med lite spritsig, medeltorr och kryddig med honung och vinteräpplen och jästiga estrar. Trevlig

Flaska. Karamell, ljust bröd, gräs, hö och torkade örter. En gnutta citrus. Mycket gott, ganska nära de la Senne-klass. Det enda som stör något är att jästen är lite för sötkletig. Hade velat haft ännu mer krisp.

Ayant oublié cette Keikoppenbier, celle-ci était à 4 mois après sa date, ce qui n'a pas du l'arranger. Bière inconstante qui recherche une réelle ligne directrice, il est difficile de rentrer dans l'histoire qu'essaye de raconter cette Hoppig Blond. L'équilibre malt/houblon n'est pas très heureux et donne l'impression que le brasseur a choisi de ne pas choisir. Visuel très correct avec in blond orangé limpide parcouru pas de nombreuses fines bulles et surmonté pas une mince couche de mousse blanc cassé. Le nez est sur un cocktail peu exaltant d'herbes, d'agrumes, de pomme et miel. L'attaque est plutôt agréable avec une amertume modérée (IBU de 30) mais appréciable portée par un trio Pilgrim, Goldings, Cascade quelque peu floral avec de légères épices en complément des arômes présents au nez. Sir la deuxième bouche le malt prend les devants avec des arômes de miel qui prennent l'ascendant (avec pomme et herbes plus en retrait). Cela est encore plus vrai sur l’arrière-bouche lourde et peu gracieuse. Le final qui revient davantage sur l'amertume redevient plus fine et appréciable. L'alcool à 6,1 % est très correct, tout comme longueur et corpulence. Poussif.

Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. MOderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.
