Bottled. Much less vinegar than previously, and not very lactic either, though certainly a good deal of barnyard funkiness and quite tart. Nicer than the last time. July 2011: 7/3/8/3/14: 75 cl bottle. Citrus, vinegar, lactic nose. Sour, but not overly so, not like a lambic. Funky, tangy, wheaty, interesting, though not all so great.

Bottle that I picked up from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie, 01.10.10 consumed 31.10.10 Pours orange/amber with large white bubbly head. This has a clean nose almost ’Andrews Liversalts’ but little else of note. The taste is fruity but a little bit sour and a tangy edge to this. Tangy and dry but strength is notable, Nice. 75cl Bottle bought at the brewery. Hazy, later on muddy amber colour, off white head. Aroma of yeast, light sour green apples, flowery, light spicy, a bit of alcohol. Flavour is light malty, flowery, fruity, light sweet, a bit tart, peppery, alcohol, light bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. OK.

Bottle: Poured a hazy dirty beige color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and some light lacing notes. Aroma of light funky ester with some dry notes. Taste is also a mix between some very funky notes with some apricot ester and a dry finish with some subtle Brett notes. Body is quite full with great carbonation and no signs of the alcohol. Nice funky notes with balanced malt backbone – probably one of the best Fantome that I have tasted lately.

Bottle, 75cl. A clear, amber beer with a small, beige head. A bit bready aroma with spicy notes, some cheesy funk, and cellar in the background. Bready and spiced flavor with cellar and a cheesy touch, and some milky sourness. Bready, spiced finish with cellar. Nicely carbonated, medium-bodied and dry. Quite interesting and drinkable. 090822
