12 oz bottle shared with brenn79, thanks Alen! Aroma is nice and bretty--dusty basement, barnyard funk, lemon rind...kind of stings the nostrils. This one is almost as ugly as the Veritas we drank before this. This one has a slight head that falls into a collar fairly fast, hazy orange hue. Taste begins sweet before turning sour (6/10 on a sour scale) and quite bitter. Body is medium to thin. Really good.

2012 bottle. Aroma is full of fruity acidity with notes of cherry, berry and plum. Some malt character of toasted bread and light faint chocolate. A touch of alcohol spice. Pours a cloudy amber with some brown notes to it. Small light tan head that recedes fairly quickly to the edges. This bottle has carbonation. Flavor is slightly malty upfront with some caramel, chocolate, toast and faint roast. After the malt the acidity hits and brings cherry, berry and bitter orange. More bitter than expected but no hop flavor. Light oak character in the finish. Some alcohol spice in the finish as well. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency with medium alcohol warmth. Acidity is moderate and dries the beer out in the finish. Overall a nice beer but the bitterness is a touch strong as is the alcohol notes. Good fruitiness.

2009 bottle at the brewpub. Pretty red-amber with a nice, fine head. Nose of vinegar, yogurt, cherry. A real-on Flanders Red nose, wood, dust. Dry, dusty flavor with cherry and a bit of vinegar. Dry, dusty, not very sweet at all, and also not hugely sour. Very mild and sophisticated, and well balanced. Delicious.

Aroma is sour with berries and some earthy notes. Flavour is very sour and tart with berries and earthy notes. Good, reminds me of Struise Dirty Horse. This is slightly more sweet though.

Cloudy brown beer. Big frothy light tan head. Lightly sour nose. Dry smooth palate, quite light. Sour but not lightly so. Subtle malt base. Lots of wood tones and some herbal bitterness. Struggling to pick out any sherry. Finishes dry and a little soft. Lingering sour bitter herb aftertatse. Quite drinkable but a little odd. The herb character seems out of place.

2009 Vintage / 33 cl. bottle @ home: In a karmic act of retribution the bottle completely exploded upon opening, unfortunately damaging a mint condition rare omnibus of Chinese poetry (one of the few books that I actually own – everything else is library with the occasional print-out) , an unfortunate event but not an upsetting one given the nature of the event, most of the bottle was spilled but given the fact that experience has thought me that when a sour beer explodes like that, it is really no good anymore, carbonation seems to be extremely over the place with HotD with a zero carbonation Cherry Adam from the Wood, now this & everything in between, I cannot say that I was worried, murky brown, apricot, mashed strawberries, colour, whatever head, there is looks like mould, nasty, smells, mouldy, rug, mouldy bathroom carpet, rotting apricot, fruity, taste, fermenting, booze, plenty of rotting strawberry, rotting peach, lactic, pear, mould, rotting, cotton candy cobwebs, dust, rotting wood, nail polish, sweet (no sourness in here, just soft, rotting old carpet fruits, drenched in nail polish), half-carbonated, this has gone bad alright, too damn sweet
