Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Light golden with little head to it. Expected more of a hopped tropical fruit explosion than the crisp but mild pale ale that it is. Aroma is stronger and promises more than the small grapefruit led citric taste provides.

Bottle during RBWG. Pours a clear amber with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of earthy grapefruit and pine with a grain backbone. Flavor has bitter grapefruit with light pine as well as a touch of light grain.

330ml bottle from Beermoth. Aroma is pine pot pourri crossed with a fresh flowery summer meadow.. lots of citrus & pine with a resinous aftertaste.. not too full on mind, but a very fresh juicy beer nonetheless.

From the keg menu at the Hanging Bat, one third pint. Orange-gold coloured body, near-clear. Diminishing white head, fragile lacing. Inviting citrus hoppy nose. Blended flavours of pineapple and grapefruit offset by lightly sweet pale malts. Super fresh fruit bitter aftertaste. Smooth in the mouth. Medium bodied. A pleasure to drink this one (Edinburgh 11.08.2013).

Keg at Hanging Bat. Aromas are peach and grapefruit, touch of bread. Taste a good balance of sweet and bitter. Medium bodied, creamy texture, good carbonation. Finishes bitter but refreshing. A superior IPA!

Bottle: Nose is peach and light grapefruit, light floral notes and pine; fades quickly. Taste is satsuma and clementines; pith, leading to slight herbal notes and a pine finish. There is a pleasing dryness to the beer. A nice American style IPA, but nothing to particularly raise it from the 1,453,232 other American style IPAs currently on sale from British craft brewers.

Cask at the Old Fountain - London. Pours mostly clear, yellow-gold with a strong, fluffy white head. Pale malt nose, mildly bready, some straw, dry lemon. Medium sweet flavor with some bread, lightly tangy tangerine, rioe orange, earthy hay, mild grass. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish with moderate piney resins, bready pale malts, further tangy tangerine, some spicy pine, nips of alcohol, grass, dirt. A somewhat atypical APA but pretty well nuanced.
