I had Thatchers 2011 Vintage Oak Aged Sumerset Cider which I assume is was this beer. Part of the 3 for 5 £ deal @ Sainsbury’s. Pours a pale golden with a white head. Smell is a mix of sweet fermenting apples mixed with some fresh do it yourself type of store wood, apparently this was aged in Rum barrels. Tastes of mouldy rotting apple, musty, rotting, dusty, old apples, some sweetness, musty, some rotting wood, fermenting stuff and wood in the back followed by some sweet booze. m/m body - this was appraised as the higher quality cider but I cannot say that I really enjoyed it. My bottle claimed 7.4 % ABV.

Bottle. Pale gold in colour with plenty of fizz. Sweet aroma with some stewed apple and caramel. Flavour also started sweet with some pleasant apple juice and dryish finish. Ok.

Bottled@BeerHunters, Pori. Pale yellow colour, no head. Aroma is rumraisins, vanilla, mild cherrypips as well as some mild spices, no traces of apples in the aroma. Flavour is basic green apples, mild vinegar and some dry wooden notes.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Thomas_E. Pours a clear, pale golden with a small, white head. Aroma of rum and apples. Medium body with a fairly high carbonation, lightly sweet’n’sour apple notes and then again these fantastic rum accents. Excellent. 150807

50 cL bottle. Pours pale yellow, no head. Rum, slight apple and elderflowerish flavour. Apple heavy flavour, medium sweet to dry. Slight carbonated mouthfeel. Slight chemical note note in a slight fizzy finish. Not bad, decent.

Light blond color. Evident rum aroma, with light fudge and candies. Some sweetness, some apple juice flavor, light hazelnut touch; at the end there is some lasting ripe apple; rough and not very interesting.

A light yellow cider with a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet and quity apply, while the flavor is sweet and only with light apply notes.
