This is our atypical take on an English stout. But our stout is more accessible than its British counterpart because of the sweeter flavour and the less pronounced caramel taste.

Bottle. Metallic caramel malt. Dark brown color with large tan head. Super sweet sugar water - light malt flavor. Undrinkable - even non-alcoholic malt drinks are better than this.

250ml bottle bought in Bruges. Black with a decent tan head. Very sweet aroma of molasses and coffee. Flavour was also sweet, with some dark fruit and not much of a finish. Not for me.

Big brown head. Deep dark red translucent body. Neutral smoky licorice aroma. Sweet earthy watery licorice taste with no bitterness. Licorice aftertaste. Too simple and flat. No resistance, no depth. (0.33l bottle from Dorstvlegel, Antwerp.)
