Sample at the brewery. Golden color, clear, creamy white head that stays there forever. Aromanis winey with citrus, ginger, juniper, rosemary, pink pepper, straw. Taste is vaguely sweet and quite sour. Finish is peppery, dry, with lemon zest and ginger root. Quite peculiar, not my preference yet original.

F: huge, off-white, long lasting. C: gold, light hazy. A: malt, grassy, caramel, fruity, bready, yeasty, spicy, hint of vanilla. T: malty, orange peels, spicy, bready, gingerbread, vanilla, yeasty, medium to full body, medium carbonation, very nice, I like this, 33cl bottle from Carrefour market – St. Michel @ Etterbeek, Brussels.

Sampled from tap at the brewpub. Clear, golden yellow with a slightly creamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, herbal-fruity aroma of lemongrass, pineapple and some clove. Sweetish, slightly bitter, herbal-fruity taste of lemongrass, pineapple, some ginger and a bit of clove, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, quite grassy-herbal and a bit yeasty finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Nice, best of the five beers for me!

Paksu valkoinen vaahto, joka jää pitkäksi aikaa oluen pinnalle. Väriltään oranssi/vaaleanrusehtava. Tuoksu varsin mieto, hedelmää ja makeutta, maussa makeahkoa hedelmäisyyttä. Ei juuri jälkipuraisua, suutuntuma ei kovin vahva, hieman metallisuutta havaittavissa. Alkoholi ei maistu liikaa kovista volteista huolimatta. Hiilihappoinen, paljon pieniä kuplia. Ei mikään erikoinen tapaus, paljon parempiakin Belgejä on maa täynnä.

330 ml bottle from the brewery. Almost clear golden body with a big, frothy, long lasting white head. Not much aroma, some pale malt, herbs, hint of mature apples and leaves. Flavor is quite sweet, white sugar, pale malt, yeast, herbs and hint of alcohol. Low bitterness. Medium to full body and sweet aftertaste. It’s kinda interesting when you know what these beers are about, but objectively it’s a rather dull beer.

Slightly hazy gold colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is grassy, earthy, and some malt. The taste is sweet malt, grass and alcoholic warmth and a slightly medicinal, spicy pepper bitter finish. Not for me.

Clear golden colour, tall foamy white head, mostly diminishing, patchy lacing. Aroma malty, light fruity, caramel, yeast, light vanilla, alcohol. Taste light heavy sweet and light to medium bitter, fruity, toffee, bit peppery, yeasty, middle part sweetbitter, leading to a dry finish with a malty touch, herbal and spicy notes. Prickly mouthfeel, medium body, oily to creamy texture, average carbonation, nice fresh tripel.
