330ml bottle. Clear reddish brown colour with small to average, firm, frothy, moderately lacing, off-white head. Dark malty aroma has notes of dark berries, milk chocolate, decent dry, leather-like overtone. Taste is minimally sourish with dark fruity notes, plum, later dry with a leather touch, also some yeast. A composition with flavours that could do but don’t.

Hazy red-brown colour. Aroma of malts, sweet red fruits, yeast and spices. Flavour is very sweet but is well balanced with the spiciness.

Bottled 330ml (Drink Shop, Tallinn, BB 05/2012)
Dark nut brown, ruby color, small off-white head. Dried dark fruits, dates, raisins, a bit papery. Medium-bodied. Raisins, dates, some caramel, somewhat cardboardish. Sweetish, malty. BB-date is soon, so maybe some kind of ageing noticed here. Decent, styleish abbey dubbel.

33 cl. bottle split @ home – thx a lot to Tim (tderoeck) for this one – pours a bordeaux hued dark brown with a tanned head – smell is heavy on the spices with the large number of them creating a balanced spices goodness without rough edges, the spices are combined with typical Belgian malts and slight dark fruits – the dark fruits come out a touch stronger in the taste coupled with the balanced out, slightly sweet spices, touch of berries before the finish, Belgian malts with a slight hint of caramel – medium bodied and carbonated – a nice one and definitely a very interesting experiment

Bottle, 8%. Brown sugar and cream aroma. Cloudy dark brown colour. Small creamy light brown head. The flavour is creamy and papery. Has a little CO2 note in the finish. Fruity finish in a good way. Quite clean for a Belgian beer.

Cloudy purple to red brown (rusty) beer, beige aery head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of caramel, dried fruits, pretty nutty too, chocolate sweetness, sweet malts, very inviting. MF: ok but light carbon, medium to full body. Taste: caramel, bit bready, fruity, red berries, toasted malts, surprisingly sweet-sour ending, like cola, but not bad. Aftertaste: bit sour first, fruits, roasted malts, mocha.
