33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Slightly hazy copper amber colour, off white head. Aroma of light smoke, some plastic, light sour beechwood, bit of charcoal, wheat and clove. Flavour is light sweet, wheat, light prickly sourness, beechwood, smoke, ash, bitter prickly finish. Some fruity flavours emerge when the beer warms up. Medium bodied. Not bad and certainly not as smoked as the earlier ratings led to believe, this is actually quite subtle.

Bottle from Bier Koning. Cloudy amber beer, residual white head. Light smoky nose. Fairly neutral palate - perhaps a little soft. Mild smoke with a little creamy malt. Semi dry finish. Any weizen characteristics are strangled by the smoke.
