Malty, toasty, even a bit smoky aroma. Full bodied, in fact almost thick. Very malty with just a hint of roasted malt. Sweetish with some pear fruit. Some alcohopl present. Well made bock, lightyears ahead of the commercial Dutch bocks. Tasted again in december 2012: Malty bready roastaroma with caramelly notes and chocolate. Malty sweet, caramelly roasty flavor. Medium fo full bodied. Pleasant bock.

On tap at Gist. Clear deep amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of amber malts, light fruity, caramel. Flavour follows, weak and watery. Light bodied. Not great.

Fluffy off white head stayed well on an unclear mahogany still body - poured from a bottle with an unusual retro screw top - love it! Malt, caramel, spices & brown sugar aroma. Medium bodied thinning to the back, smooth on the front with a clean tingly aft. Caramel, demerara, malt & berry tastes - very lacking on the finish

Aus der Schraubverschlussflasche. Dunkles Kupfer, ordentlicher Schaum. In der Nase süßlich, Malz. Im Trunk alkoholisch, malzig, süß, sehr unausgewogen, geradezu boozig, da fehlt es an Feinabstimmung. Dazu hinten recht flach. Schwache Performance.

Bottle. Clear chestnut brown colour. Perfect beige head. Never seen such dense laces. Aroma: caramel, toast, some hay, dried fruit, a little vinous. Medium body. Light to medium sweet taste. Rich malts. Dried fruit. Dry ending. Light bitterness with a hop kick at very ending. Good one.
