Keg half-pint in Ye Old Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 17th July 2013. Deep amber too reddy brown in colour with an off-white covering on top. Highly carbonated it gave off an aroma of mixed fruits and semi-sweet malts, the taste followed that trend. Refreshing and crisp in it’s flavours, made a pleasant change to the cask offerings I’d been drinking earlier.

Cask at Friends of Ham. Pours golden yellow with good white head. Little to no carbonation. Aromas muted, but citrus notes detectable, some malt. Taste follows through well, and a good hop bitterness. Tastes more session-strength. Good.

Courtesy of & thx! to tderoeck. 33 cl. bottle shared. This is from Wales apparently – label & text makes it seem like they are trying to be Brewdog. BBF 31/01/2014. Batch 083. Pours lightly murky amber with a white head. Nose is bitter pine resin with def. malt presence, lots of bitter spices, grass & some caramel. Taste is bitter spices, some herbs, bready & slight caramel malts, bitter pine resin & herbs, grass, edging towards bitter herbs & spices spectrum of IPA / hops. Body is touch watery. Not bad – their mascot is semi-cute / semi-appealing.

8/VI/13 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 31/I/14 - batch 83 (2013-544) Thanks to Nicki and Mike for transporting the bottles!

Clear deep orange beer, big irregular frothy head, stable, little to non adhesive. Aroma: pretty fruity, peaches, sweaty feet, bit leathery, hinting at exotic fruits with some passion fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: piny hoppy start, some caramel, malts, toast, bit cheesy and some citrus. Aftertaste: bitter, piny, citrus, bit medicinal, very bitter long lasting ending. Very English authentic feel to it, not the next American style copy cat. Which is weird, because apparently it's full of American hops.
