Bottle. Dark brown color. Malty, just a bit sharp aroma. Malty, caramelly, alcoholic flavor with hints of cinnamon. Lacks balance, because of the strong alcoholic character. The tap version shows more balance. Cinnamon, butter and a hint of chocolate in the aroma. Dark chocolate and roast in the flavor, with cinnamon. Caramel and raspberry. Hint of diacetyl (7 3 6 2 13 = 3.1) Bottle: best until october 2012, tasted july 2013. Corked. Brwon color. Gummibärchen in the aroma. caramel. malty sweet, caramel, upcoming porto flavors. Has matured very well.

Looks like its vintage 2013. Wired champagne bottle but no way can this resemble champagne. Brownish darker ale. Sweeter mild aroma. Taste is malty alky bomb. Old aged lager feel to this one. Spices are not overwhelming but it is quite medicinal in the feel. Yes, now I think I feel a little dizzy about the whole situation. Would be rude if not for the aroma or the alky content. Nice package though.

Draught at Pizzeria Kariš, Pesek, Italy. Pours clear ruby brown with thin creamy tan-like head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of yeast, dark fruits, spices, caramel and alcohol. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel malt and burnt sugar, follows by fruity and yeasty esters, spicy and warming alcoholic mouthfeel and mild bitter finish. Full body, thick texture and lively natural carbonation in palate. Typical Christmas ale, good without any flaws...

Amai, this is one sweet beer. I knew what to expect, since this is a christmas beer. But even knowing that I was not prepared for the tsunami of sugar. Decent beer.

750 ml bottle into signature chalice, bottled on 8/16/2012. Pours slightly cloudy ruby red color with a 1 finger fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of raisin, apple, caramel, molasses, nutmeg, cinnamon, toast, candi sugar, light clove, bread, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of deep malt with yeast esters and spices. Taste of raisin, apple, caramel, molasses, nutmeg, cinnamon, toast, light clove, candi sugar, toffee, pepper, bread, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of light fruits, caramel, molasses, nutmeg, cinnamon, toast, candi sugar, light clove, toffee, bread, pepper, and earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice balance and complexity of malt flavors with fruity yeast esters and spicing; with a great malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly slick and moderately prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent spiced Belgian strong ale! Great balance and complexity of malt, yeast esters, and spices; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

Pretty good. Enjoyed this more than the Scaldis Noel I tried. Has floral hops and sweet malt, booze in aroma. Pours clear amber. Low carbonation. Good consistency, palatee medium. Aftertaste is sweet and floral. Tap at Slows bbq.

Garnet colored hazy liquid topped by a smalll craemy beige head. Sweet caramel malt aroma hints at dark fruits. Flavor is mild toasted malt and more dark fruits with notes of plums and raisins. Lot’s of carbonation and peppery hops in finish. Overall, very nicely done.
