35,5 cl bottle @ O’Hara’s Freehouse. Rated on 06.05.2011
Aroma is rather heavy with sweetish malt, some raisins and nuts. Flavour is sweet and malty with nuts and caramel. Feels a lot like barley wine.

Purchased at Breeze Thru Liquors in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed on a Wednesday night prior to the first snow storm of the year. Appearance a nice and slightly clear darkish amber with a rich white head that laces to the glass. Aroma is interesting, there’s nothing to really grab on to, but there’s definitely an equal balance between caramel malt, hops, and yeast. Taste is equally as balanced, there’s a slight bit of resin hops in the flavor that gets you towards the end, and the bitterness slightly sucks the liquid from your gums. It’s pretty rich for the style, nice barley flavor as well. Medium carbonation, rich body. Nice with slight complexities, a sipper for sure. Very good stuff.

Deep copper orange. Dark fruits and sweet malts in the aroma. Flavor is similar with strong earth spice, and a bit of fruity hops. Pretty solid.

33 cl. bottle @ Delirium Hoppy Loft: amber with a white head – smells like caramel, cough syrup & non-bitter pine hops – taste is sweet caramel malts blended with plenty of cough syrup, very medicinal tasting in a non-fun way, not bad per se but not yummy either, same goes for the cough syrup, hopoil, herbal hops, cough mints, burned sugar – no I am not liking this all that much, pretty big bummer especially how much I was loving the other ST stuff before this came along – slightly above medium carbonation

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a clear copper with a half finger of white head. Aroma of light pine hops and a little caramel malt. Taste is medium bitter. Strongly pine hops with a bit of caramel and a little dried fruit. Medium bodied with a slick texture. Lively carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, pretty good. I would invest in a 6pack of these.

Cloudy, haze red / brown colored beer. Smell is pretty average; not good not bad. Taste nice hoppy, a fine light and soft winter beer. Good carbo and medium body. Good beer.
