This beer lacks a bit in smell. Warmed it up a bit but still didn’t smell a lot. Other than that it’s a good beer with a nice balance.

Bottle from michael-pollack. Pours copper with a creamy beige head. Aroma seems to be light roast malt and floral/fruit hop. It’s almost like the aromas neutralize each other. Full bodied. Malty in an unthick way, but there’s enough hop so it’s not very sweet. It is perhaps more bitter than not, but the flavors are still significant. Malt and not too bitter hop. Drinks pretty well.

355 ml bottle. 8% ABV on the label. Deep golden body with a big creamy off-white head. Aroma of meat broth, malt, fruit and spices. Flavor is mild malty, caramel, spices and decent bitter. Well made with integrated flavors, not able to pick up the spices, but there is something there, same goes for the alcohol, feels a bit warming but not exactly picked up as alcohol.

05/04/2011 Ma che siete venuti a fà (tap). Ambrata scura, quasi marrone, con riflessi rossicci, molto limpida, con lieve schiuma biancastra sporca. It has been a very good pleasure to me drinking this beer. Al naso lievi sentori di malto e luppolo. In bocca amarognola, con lievi note caramellate. Corpo medio, quasi piatta, consistenza oleosa. Un po’ deludente.

On tap. Poured a clear brown with a tan head that dissipated slowly to the edges. Aroma was a combination of bread, spice and some backing pine and toffee. Flavor was similar with bread and toffee in the start with pine and spice growing to round out the finish nicely. Smooth on the tongue as well.

Bottle at Cask Pub And Kitchen Pimlico. Clear chestnut colour with lasting beige head. A pretty looking beer. Deepish malts on aroma typical of American darkish beers. Unmistakenbly American. Yes its good. Its an odd thing I get from US dark beers some boiled toffee. This has some soft malty flavour on finish. Some hop too.
