Draft at Paradiso Georgetown. Amber color, white head, massive lacing. Too heavily spiced, lots of nutmeg. Strange.

Bottle. Poured dark clear red with medium white head. Weak aroma of sweet malt. Full bodied flavour malt and a little caramel. Enough bitterness in the finish. A good old ale.

12 oz. bottle, pours dark amber with a white head. Aroma of citrusy hops and caramel malt balance. Flavour of wood, immense burnt notes, caramel malt and a bitter finish. The burnt notes shine through way too much I think, thought it is still mildly enjoyable.

Pours dark amber/ruby with a lasting off-white head.Nose shows fruity and resinous hops mixed in with rich caramel and nutty malt. Quite sweet, pretty bold.Flavours are even bolder, loads of caramel and toasty flavours along with aggressive grapefruit and pine hop characters. Finishes with a full-on, unbalanced bitterness.Carbonation is a little high and distracts from the malt.Lacks complexity, jumps from exceedingly sweet to aggressively bitter with nothing in between.

Bottle, at KØ-10. A clear, golden beer with a minimal-sized off-white head. Diacetyl and a nice fruityness on the nose. The flavor is pretty much the same, diacetyl and fruits, and some caramel and biscuits too. Medium body, some bitterness in the end. A quite refreshing, easy drinkable beer that is also rather boring. 100507

Pour is a dark brown with a large white head. Aroma is a very sweet malt with some molasses, candi sugar and a nice oily hop. Flavor is a very rich malt with some allspice and more candi sugar. This is a very heavy beer that will take awhile to get down.
