At the first sip it is smooth and full-bodied, at the second sip the true rich, strong roasted malt aroma of Einbecker Ur-Bock unfolds. The dark barley-malt brewed refreshment from the Einbecker original recipe.

Malty, sweet aroma and caramel/toffee in the flavor. Nice dark amber color with beige head. Slight bitterness on the finish. Light on the mouthfeel for what is a heavier style.

Stumpy little weird 33 cl. green bottle @ home – don’t often have or see stuff in green bottle – that is probably a good thing – obtained in a trade – clear, caramel / copper amber, little head – smell is somewhat fake, sweet german caramel, sugar and syrup – sweet caramel, taste, German, rather thing, feels filtered and cleared out, malt, herbs, toffee and metallic in the back, bitter herbs, corn syrup and iron, light bitter hops – lighter syrupy body – this one is not one of the better bocks for me, fake caramel, corn and that weird herbal / iron bitterness,… The German thing continues – almost hard to believe how much German stuff I got. ///////////////// Tried this on draft, way better on tap. Amber with on off-white head. Sweet nose, faint iron, sweet sticky malts & herbs. Taste is very thick & full malts, caramel, sweet herbs, thick right lager feel,… very creamy & very solid. Previously 3.1, draft 3.8. Going to give it a new score of 3.6.

A little darker than a pale lager in a brown kindah way. Smells creamy. Taste is old bitter medicinal thing. Strong alky from the start. Robust flavors. Didn’t even notice any co2. Rude nasty nellie, does not deserve the word dunkel. Glad its over. Difficult at times.
