Bottle. Clear gold. White well-lacing froath. Aroma: corny malts, overripe fruit, candy, perfume, light industrial feel when cold. Medium body. Taste: light to medium sweet, malty. Corn, overripe apricot, candy, perfume, light hopping. Nutty hints. Tasty.

Bottle from Belgibeer. Cloudy yellow with a large head. Aroma of Belgian yeast and spice. Flavour is boozy yeast and pepper, fruity finish.

Dunkbar Pilsnerfestival Pre-tasting. Hazy golden with a small white head. Heavy spicy and fruity Belgian yeast aroma, with peach, banana and marzipan. Sweet fruity and spicy flavour.

Gekocht bij De Ryck zelf op 19/04/2016 tijdens een bezoek aan de brouwerij met de bierkennersklas van het CVO Dendermonde. Arend Blond is inderdaad een blond biertje dat er ook wat wazig uitziet. De kleur van het schuim is wit en er wordt tamelijk veel van geproduceert bij het uitschenken. Het bestaat voornamelijk uit grove bellen en zakt daarna langzamerhand in elkaar. Veel CO2 pareling met grootte belletjes. Het aroma is moutig en citrusfris. De smaak is eerst wat moutig en daarna komt het bittere opzetten. In de mond is Arend Blond volmondig van textuur, niet droog en krijg je een volle smaak. Verder is Arend Blond tamelijk prikkelend en geeft het een volle smaak. De nasmaak vloeit wat uit en is wat bitter en platjes. Na hun schitterende Gouden Arend die me ooit een 'wow' effect gaf, heeft De Ryck me nu ontgoocheld, het is geen opvallend bier, geen uitschieter. Dus daarom een 2 als beoordeling. Toch ietwat eigenaardig want tijdens het brouwerijbezoek had ik hem al geproefd en leek hij mij veel beter, heb al spijt dat ik zo'n fles meegenomen heb. Pajiza, turbia. efervescente. Espuma blanca. Aroma bastante malteado. Cuerpo medio, carbonización notable en boca, donde predomina la malta, con buenos toques cítricos, frutales y algo de galleta. Notable.
