Steenuilke is a unique herby beer with a minor malty taste, a subtle fruitiness and a fine spicy, slightly grassy bitterness. It has a full-bodied, hoppy and dry aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of fruit, malt and yeast, with hoppy notes and touches of flowers and caramel. Bitter, hoppy flavour with grassy and floral notes and round touches of fruit and malt. Nutty hints. Bitter and slightly acetic afteraste. Nice.

Bottle, 6.5%. Mild honey aroma, hint of pepper. Almost clear dark golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is soapy and perfumy at first. Then it turns more peppery and spicy with a touch of honey and more soap. The soap is not a bad note, it is just the closest deScriptor I can come up with. On the peppery side like many other Belgians but not bad at all. Edit: It turns out from the commercial deScription that the soapy note is woodruff, of course.

Ambar clara. No mucha espuma. Turbia consistente. Aroma herbal extraño. No muy agradable. En boca mantiene un tono claramente herbal marcado por las que añade en su receta. Seca. Diferente. Requiere adaptación. Bien de gas y cuerpo moderado. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear golden with a big, frothy, white head. The aroma contains woodruff, citrus, grass, herbs, yeast, bread. It tastes medium fruity sweet and light spicy bitter; dry, herbal hoppy & grassy finish. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Balanced, quenching; a charming little beer. (Edited 20/5/18)

Bottle. A huge, off-white head forms over a more or less clear, golden body. Curtains. The aroma is quite fruity, with some yeast and a touch of pale malts. It’s medium bodied, smooth and nicely carbonated. Yeast, pale malts, some bitterness, a good dash of fruityness and some pine cones in the flavor. Lasting finish. Too much on the yeasty side this one, not very good actually. 150711

Blonde session beer since 2009, apparently to support the conservation of the little owl, a species I have rarely encountered but I can only support this. This beer has an off-white, creamy head and misty golden blonde colour; aroma of bread, apple, vanilla, cardboard, gooseberry; soft fruity, bit tart onset, refreshing, smooth, straightforward but balanced and flawless with mild hop bitterishness in the finish.
