Invernale, potente, complessa. Servire a 8 - 10 ºC. Ingredienti: acqua, malto d'orzo, zucchero, purea di mirtillo (6%), luppolo, lievito.

Sampled from bottle at PIB, pours murky dark orangey amber with a small head. Aroma of butterscotch, caramel, dark fruits and a little bourbon - pretty subtle on the nose. Flavour is heavy on orange / tangerine, quite harsh sweetness and booziness. The booze and sweetness cuts some of the complexity. Still solid.

Bottled. A murky golden beer with sediment floating around and with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of mlat, fruit, yeast, and citrus. The flavor is very sweet and very malty, combined with notes of yeast and alcohol, that leaves a burn in the finish. Huge thanks to yespr for sharing.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Pours a very hazy orangey brown with floating impurities and a small rough off-white head. Rather confused aroma of yeast, vinegar, diacetyl and prunes - a not so tempting combination. Medium-bodied with yeast, fruit and very unclean diacety. Somewhat astringent finish - perhaps with touches of aniseed and alcohol. Appears Belgian in style - but terribly foul and obviously this is off. 290508

Bottle 75cl @ [ Mafioso Blind Tasting @ yespr, Bottle #07.]Unclear medium orange amber color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lancing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light malty, caramel, candy, alcohol notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Courtesy of CigarCityBrew. Pours amber. Nose is filled with fruits and primary blueberries. Malty and caramel. Alcohol is very present. The finish was slightly sour/astringent. I found it hard to believe that the beer was a barleywine as it was so sweet.

Bottle#7: 75 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange to brown with small yeast floaties, little lacing white head. Mild spiced and malty aroma. Flavour is sweet caramel malt with a mellow yeasty note. Light spiced sharpness towards the finish. Mild warming finish with a light alcohol bite. Light bitterness too.

Pours gold into a snifter. Off-white head wtih good retention leaves no lacing as it recedes. Fruity alcohol aromas. Crisp upfront with slight blueberry middle and a lasting sour finish.
