Bottle. Pours a clear amber with no head whatsoever. Aroma has a good amount of white wine coming through with some heavy fruits and a good amount of sweet grains and caramel. Flavor starts with some sweetness from caramel but has fruits throughout and a bit of vinous notes from the barrel in the finish. Completely flat and could have used a touch of carbonation.

0.75l bottle, shared with BelgBeerGeek @ Kulminator. This is a cloudy deep amber one with a small off-white head.On the aroma this is sweetish with both caramel and dates. I also get tones of both booze and sweet vanilla. Really nice! On the flavor it start off caramel and banana sweet, some clear raisins going on here and a great warming alcohol touch that's lubricating both my throat and brain. It ends light oaky with a sweet caramelly and almost fruity aftertaste. Yeah! A really fine one! 02.06.2012

Bottle with an extremely high fill. Pours with a haze amber-copper hued body with a frothy white head that lasts. Aromas are of honey, floral, isoamyl acetate (banana), alcohol, brandy, barrel, wine, funky, strongly sweet, boozy, maple, canned peaches, and prunes. Flavors are of prunes, dates, dark fruits, big yeast notes, alcohol, brown sugar, burnt molasses, apples, banana fosters, dates. VERY SWEET and very boozy, brandy, wine. Medium esters, candied apples. Bitterness attempts to balance. Still very sweet, stewed fruits, low cereal notes, peaches and stone fruit. Boozy, slick, big bodied, alcoholic with light carbonation. Good complexity but oppressively sweet and big!

37,5 cl bottle @ olio. Batch #414: bbe 12/2013
Aroma is surprisingly light with some berries, sugar and vanilla. Flavour is sweet with some stinging and warming alcohol, berries, fruits and sugar. Hides the ABV very well even though it can be observed.

BBE: December 2013 - Pours dark orange/reddish brown with a foamy white head. Aroma of berries, malts and syrup. Taste is extremely sweet with notes of berries, syrup, stingy fruits and malts. Finish is malty and sweet and sticky with notes of berries. Alcohol burns through too much in the finish. Way too sweet for my taste.

375mL bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours an opaque maroon with no head, just a few bubbles. Aroma of liqueur, oak, red wine, some faint dried fruits (raisins), and definitely some alcohol - though really quite a subtle nose. Flavour is more full and actually less alcohol than I thought based on the nose. Quite fruity with raisins and grapes, a dry red wine quality, a little oak, mild candied sugar, and only a light burn, though you can feel this is a high ABV beer. Almost no carbonation. Extremely easy to drink despite the 15% ABV. Complex, with no harsh edges. Most excellent.
