75 cl. bottle sampled @ Modeste 2012 - pils malts and american dry-hopping if I remember the brewers explanation correctly - hazy orange, white head - does smell of american citrus hops albeit rather mellow, fruity, yeast, light melon - bitter mellow citrus flavour, grapefruit, bitter herbs, spices, base is a bit dull, paller malts, light booze in the back - interesting idea but feels a bit to bland - perhaps it is my lack of fondness of the malts used - medium bodied

Small white rim, over yellow beer. Citrussy nose, with some lemon, and also some spicy grain (fenegreek?). Finishes a bit soapy. Sweet-spicy flavour, balanced, but unremarkable. Finish gives a hophint, all the same. Very slick, finish is tad chewy, yet not well-bodied. Certainly not revolutionary, but pretty decent. Beer is supposedly brewed in the new pubbrewery in Tongeren, Au Phare. Maybe the bottled version hails from Anders still.

33cl bottle @ home. POUR IT GENTLY! Opaque pale yellow color, huge very active, a bit creamy white head that leaves a fair lacing. Smell malts, a lot of citrus, very fresh. Taste malts, citrus, hops, fruitpeel, bitter. Pretty nice actually. Medium carbonation, low to medium body. Doesn’t taste like 7% ABV. Weird appearance for a Belgian Strong Ale. Nice though.
