Taster at the Taft’s Ale House in Cincinnati, Ohio. The pour is dark brown, opaque, with a thin well formed light tan head. The aroma is mild char roast, bit of dark chocolate. The taste is a great blend of roast malt, soft earth smoke, and finishing with bitter dark chocolate. The palate is medium bodied, natural carbonation, and a pleasant char roast dark chocolate finish. Nice Porter.

Sampler at brewery. Dark brown color. Moderate clean smoke aroma with light chocolate. Flavor is light mineral and ligtly moderate smoke. Short finish, just enough smoke to make me love it.
