An elegant Belgian Blond Ale emerges into the mix at Blue Earl. This beer takes its name from "Honeysuckle Rose" a 1929 song composed by Fats Waller with lyrics by Andy Razaf, and inducted in the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999. A moderate-strength golden ale that has a subtle Belgian complexity, slightly sweet flavors of orange and lemon, and a dry finish. Gold in color, the beer is brewed with Pilsner, Munich, and specialty malts, then hopped with Hallertauer and Liberty. A sensational Belgian flavor profile that’s assured to satisfy your soul!

On tap at Harvest Tide in Lewes, Delaware. Honey gold pour. Brief white head. Earthy, fruity malt nose. Sweet malt flavor upfront hints at caramel. Some warming alcohol in middle. Sticky mouthfeel. Candied citrus finish.

12oz bottle pours gushes... then pours a clear gold with some frothy, white head. Nose has honey, flowers, not much else. Flavor is trashy, coriander, flowers, mild spice. Full bodied and harsh finish.

12oz bottle. Poured into a small La Trappe chalice. Clear dark golden color with a small but strong and long lasting head. Aroma is is lightly sweet like honey - earthy and grainy honey - with sweet Belgian dough and light-moderate esters (grainy banana). Flavor is lightly grainy banana bread doughiness. I like the beer, its not overly estry or sweet but still has those characteristics.
