Cold fermented and lagered. Only available in 330ml bottles.
Porter style Ale. Chocolate and beer! Are we Mad? We’d rather say passionate. We marry the soothing flavour of this complex malt barley grist with a hint of dark chocolate. This is a beer for your more self-indulgent moments. Great for lazy afternoons or long evenings, it is best served chilled with your feet up, watching the sun go down. Like we say – chilled.
A silky-smooth suppertime beer, created using dark malts and chocolate. Pronounced vanilla notes fuse the chocolate and malts together to give a rich, warming, flavour that also works well as a complement to fruity desserts, summer puddings and autumn berries.

Pours dark mahogany. Tawny head. Aromas of black chocolate, coffee, a hint of balsamic. Creamy, light, sheer bitter. Long finish. Aftertaste is, obviously, chocolate.

Bottle at home. Very dark brown with smal beige head. Toast, roasted grains, almonds, light cocoa. Some tart berries and light grass. Medium bodied with slight watery feel. Roasted bitter and slight tartness, sweetness is very light. Doesn’t feel like 6.5% at all.

0,33 l bottle from EDEKA Mohr in Bonn. Clear, dark reddish-brown to almost black with foamy, stable, tan head. Weak aroma of dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malts and coffee. Some vinous notes in the end. Sweetish, malty, heavy taste of dark chocolate and cocoa with hints of coffee. Slightly bitter finish. Very nice! Full-bodied, creamy texture, no carbonation. Very good beer. I could drink much more than just this small bottle.

Great black appearance with beige head. Dark chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Tasty chocolate and bitterness in the taste. Texture is rather light, but also doesn’t have a high ABV. Nice.
