Bottle. Not a very good eisbock. It’s too sticky and boozy. It has got some sweet qualities and a nice body but it has not got enough complexity.

Bottle. Pours clear copper with no head. The thick liquid leavs legs. Thick syrup mouthfeel and taste, sweet malt and alcohol. Better than a malt liqour but lacks in complexity.

Bottle Poured pale red orange with a medium white head. Aroma of raisins, malt and alcohol. Full body, with a malty note and a raisiny tinge, . Then comes in an unpleasant alcohol burn and an oily note to the finish.

Rating number 300!! This has a decent dark amber colour and pours with a little bit of head, but not a lot. Plenty of carbonation in the glass. Aroma is grains, sugars, smells quite syrupy and sweet. Taste is quite a strong mix of caramel and malts, very very sweet and hard to drink. I found it quite unappealing actually, and was expecting better.

Aroma of honey, caramel, bread, slightly winey, with some dark fruit. Huge, caramel, honey flavor with cookies and cake. Sweet and hot. Big, thick palate. Smooth and hot. A fun beer when taken in moderation. Better with some age.

The bottle looks good, also the beername is not really the best. Starts very malty, very strong, quite alcoholic. The alcoholic note remains till the finish. Bit earty, fiery-warming finish. Not bad!

Bottle. Pour is a coppery amber with little head and aromas that remind me of bananas and bourbon. Flavor has an overwhelming bourbon edge to them that is really astringent in the aftertaste. I didn’t enjoy this Eisbock very much.

33cl bottle from a Leclerc in Colombes, Paris. Gold with a ring of white head; intense aroma of dried fruit - dates, prunes, raisins, apples and pears; the mouth feel is that of a dessert wine, cloyingly sweet, with apricot and marzipan flavours; warming spirit-like finish, reminding me of Calvados or a fruity Speyside malt whisky. A beer to sip very slowly and enjoy.
