Draft pout at Lake City. Pours a jet black color with a thin tan fizz head. Malty, coffee atoma. Flavor is a bit of plastic malt, coffee with a late linger, and some toast. Has a late burnt feel. Subtle sweetness. Smooths out nicely, but a bit rough up front. Interesting beer. Don’t care for the doughy character. Not bad.

Tulip at Lake City Way location. Black with off-white head. A very dry finish imperial stout, a bit like sandpaper and roast at the end. Otherwise, very attenuated. Some grape flavor, dry paper. Aroma has some fumy black malts. A dry, non sweet, maybe a bit too dry impy stout.
