Bomber from Bottleworks for $4.49. For some reason, this beer isn’t making the rounds around town like the rest of their beers. But I finally got my hands on it. Pours black (actually very dark brown but looks black) with and a small khaki head. Aroma is beautifully melded and light with light, aggressive roast, cocoa, toffee, and a light milky touch. Flavor is similar, very clean and hits the right spots on the tongue and quickly fades. Then it leaves my palate. Just a bit mineral, no acidity. Again, this milky chocolate but actual beer and not adjunct. I give Pike a lot of crap but they sure do know how to put together a good stout and porter.

Poured from a bottle it is muddy dark brown with a slight head. The aroma is roasted malt and the taste is a bitter licorice

From a 22 oz bottle shared at home. Pours black with a tan head. Roasted malt nose. Flavors of licorice and chocolate. Mildly bitter finish. Very nice Porter.

Bomber from Total Wine South Richmond. Pours a very dark brown color with a large brown head. Good head retention. Aroma of chocolate, nuts, mild roast. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, nutty notes, mild hops. Thin-medium bodied. A bit too sweet, but overall solid.

Bottle: Dark brown with a finger of tan head. Mild roast in the nose, followed by bittersweet cocoa and a little earthy. Tastes of roasted malt, earthy, and faint coffee. Medium to bordering on mild in the intensity dept. Ok.

Draught at Brouwer’s Cafe, Seattle
Aroma is roasted with coffee and chocolate. Flavour is slightly sour with licorice and some coffee. A bit straightforward but nice.

Bomber from Malt and Vine. 6.0% ABV; 32 IBU. Pours very dark brown with a foamy 3 finger dark beige head. Aroma is a watery sort of chocolate - hints of sour over dark roast malt. Med body. A very decent non-imperialized porter. Imperialization is starting to slant my ratings towards high ABV. Inappropriate in this instance. It’s a damn good plain porter. Chocolate and dark roast malt thru into the finish.

Sample at the Tap House Grill in Seattle. Brownish-black pour with a medium light tan head that recedes steadily. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and mild coffee. Light to medium body with a sweet roasty malt character and notes of coffee and chocolate. The finish is sweet with a toasted malt aftertaste. Decent all around.
