The proud piece of our brewery! Lightly amber coloured beer of 8,3% alc.vol. At the tasting of the first brewery, a beer expert noticed: "This is an amazing pint!" (In Atwerpener dialect: "Da’s een bangelijk’ goei pint!"). And so the name was found.

Bottle, 8.3%. Good fruity aroma, turning sourish and a bit metallic. Almost clear golden colour. Sparkling with an OK white head. The flavour is also fruity, has a rough but good alcohol note. A mild and spicy sweetness. Mild peppering finish.

20/12/2014 @’t Pakhuis from tap. Golden colour with nice white head. Aroma is fruits, yeast, grains. Taste : fruity hops, yeast, grains, light sweetness and some bitterness in the end. Like!

Pakhuis’s flagship, tasted there from tap. Deep ’old gold’ colour, snow white head, thin and not too stable. Malt sweetish character, slick, fruity (apple, peach), rather ’clean’ and less yeasty than usual in this style, medium spicy hop bitter finish with warming, but not astringent alcohol. Well-made, though not too exciting or different.

Bottle @ home. Label says "tripel, 8.3%". New beer? Same beer but altered, so new entry? Anyway: Slightly unclear yellow color, average sized white head. Smell and tastes like one of so many Belgian tripels / Belgian Strong Ales. Malts, lightly sweet, some bitterness in the finish. A decent beer for sure but as I said, it’s one of so many and doesn’t stand out at all. Certainly not a "unique opportunity for the spoiled beer expert" imo.

Kleur is mooi troubel echter smaak is vlak, blijft niet hangen. Enigszins zoet van smaak. Heeft niet veel van een tripel, matig bier.

Huge amount of yeasty residue in the bottle does not help contribute to an attractive pour. Aroma is yeasty, dusty with some fruity tones too. Quite a low level of sweetness for a Tripel but has some bread dough and banana lurking in the background.

Backlog. Had this on tap at the brewery on several occasions. Notes from 2008. Aroma’s of sweet malts and fruit. Flavor is only lightly sweet, fruity. Medium bodied. Not much of an aftertaste.

modeste 2013 - love how down to earth the description on this beer is - fuzzy blonde, good white foam . bit sweet in the smell good carbo . sugary , tripel-typical taste . not that intence, rather low carbo for the style ( wich is good ) bit dry, grainy .
