16oz can at home courtesy of Rob, big thanks. No BB date. black color, small coffee colored head. smells of soy sauce, some sweetness, toffee, bit smoky, nutty. nice smell. full body, light carbonation. tastes of vanilla, spices, some bitter chocolate, light earthy, some soy sauce, nutty, hazelnuts, hints of smoke, bit peppery. finishes lightly roasty bitter with notes of soy sauce, subtle smoke and nutty notes. pretty good one, old school but with a very nice balance. good stuff.

Batch 2. Actually dark brown. Lots of lacing. Aroma is still really chalky. Still has a lactosey character. Flavor has a sweet dark syrup character with a bitter hops finish. Yeah, this one is still rough around the edges. But less chalky than batch 1.

Dark brown. Thin head. Light chocolate, rye, fruity, vague coffee. Not intense for impy, but just a nice stout.
